Gotta Love Good Marketing Strategy
My biggest thrill (professionally) is when strategy and creative come together to form a most perfect union. A lot of folks only get off on the creative.
Call me crazy, but I fully respect – and strive for – a good marketing strategy. Give me the right audience and the most compelling selling messages, and the creative almost develops itself.
Show Some Emotion
The goal of any campaign should be to trigger an emotion in your audience. Your assignment, if you choose to accept it, is to identify and appeal to those emotional triggers. Your customer may be motivated by success, status, belonging, ego, fear, safety, financial ambition, you name it.
BUT, the fact is this: emotion drives every consumer purchase. People often want the facts, too, but the cash register doesn’t ring until an emotional need has been met.
